You might feel led by God to give a one-time gift, or a regular gift for a certain time period. Some people prefer to invest in people directly whereas others prefer to invest in people through supporting a project. God might lead you to give money, or to send a 'care package' of things, that would bless the missionary / ministry. The point is that God is infinitely creative in His giving.
